I wish I could say I’m one of those people who makes breakfast every morning before leaving the house… but I’m just not. That’s why these overnight oats have become my go-to solution. They’re quick to prep, endlessly customizable, and ready to grab-and-go when I’m rushing out the door.
Whether you like berries, dark chocolate, or peanut butter on top (or all three!), this easy recipe has you covered.

- 1 cup old fashioned rolled oats
- 1 cup milk (almond is my go to)
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt (I love vanilla)
- 1 tbsp maple syrup or agave
- 1/2 to 1 tsp of cinnamon or nutmeg
- Dash of almond extract
Optional Toppings:
- 2 tbsp berries
- 2 tbsp dark chocolate
- 2 tbsp peanut butter
- 2 tbsp chopped nuts
- 2 tbsp jam
Let’s Prep! (I guess I can’t say cook with this one!)
- In a mason jar or container with a lid, combine the oats, milk, yogurt, sweetener, and spices. Stir well to combine.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or ideally overnight, to let the oats absorb the liquid.
- When ready to eat, stir in your favorite toppings—fruit, peanut butter, chocolate, nuts, or anything else you like.
Stir in any optional toppings when you’re ready to eat. They’ll keep for 3-5 days in the refrigerator.
What’s your go-to breakfast on the go? I’m always looking for something new to try in the mornings!
Eat well friends!
