If you’ve been around here for a bit, you know we love a good game-day snack. And honestly, game day doesn’t have to mean sports (though it often does in our house). Any reason to gather with people you love is reason enough to celebrate with a snack—or two!
You can put this together the morning of and keep it in the fridge till you’re ready for prime time. It’s also perfect for unexpected friends dropping in since it’s probably things you have in your pantry!

Ingredients
- 8 oz cream cheese softened
- 1-2 tsp taco seasoning (I always lean closer to 2)
- 1 tbsp minced jalapenos
- 1/2 cup salsa
- 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, divided
Let’s Cook!
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, taco seasoning, and jalapenos. Stir well to combine.
- Spray an 8 x 8 baking dish with cooking spray
- Spread the cream cheese layer evenly in the bottom of the dish
- Top with half the cheddar cheese
- Carefully spread the salsa over the cheese
- Top with the remaining cheese
- Bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes or until the dip is bubbly and the cheese is golden brown.
Serve with tortilla chips and dig in. Please do let it cool for a couple minutes before digging in (the roof of your mouth will thank you!)
I’ll cut the recipe in half if I’m not feeding a crowd. It’s the perfect football snack!
