I love an easy and wonderful appetizer that’s perfect for friends, game day, and honestly any time you want a decadent treat. And trust me when I tell you, this couldn’t be any easier! How easy? Three ingredient easy. Ready? Let’s do it!

Three-Ingredient Beer Cheese Dip
This easy beer cheese dip is made with just beer, cream cheese and cheddar! Ready in about 15 minutes, it's perfect for game day, parties or an easy warm appetizer served with pretzels, crostini and veggies.
Ingredients
- 1 cup beer
- 8 ounces cream cheese cut into cubes
- 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- Worcestershire sauce optional
Let’s Cook!
- Add the beer to a medium saucepan and bring it just to a boil over medium-high heat.
- Reduce the heat to medium-low and add the cubed cream cheese. Stir until the cream cheese has completely melted into the beer and the mixture is smooth.
- Add the shredded cheddar a handful at a time, stirring continuously and allowing each addition to melt before adding more.
- If desired, add a few dashes of Worcestershire sauce.
- Serve warm with soft pretzels, crostini, crackers or fresh vegetables.
Notes From My Kitchen
- For the smoothest dip, shred your own cheddar.
- I usually make this with Hennepin, a Belgian-style saison from Brewery Ommegang You want a flavorful beer that can stand up to the cheese without overwhelming it. My general rule is the same one I use when cooking with wine: if you wouldn’t enjoy drinking it, don’t cook with it.
Have any left? Wait, that shouldn’t happen! You can spread any leftovers on crackers (because it will firm up once it sets) or it makes an amazing topping for baked potatoes.
Eat well friends!
