- 1½ c sugar
- 1 c unsalted butter softened
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2¾ c flour
- 2 tsp cream of tartar
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ¼ tsp salt
- ¼ c sugar for rolling
- 2 tsp cinnamon for rolling
Pre-heat oven to 375°.
Mix sugar, butter, and eggs in a large bowl.
Stir in cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt, mixing until well blended.
Add the flour.
Roll dough into 1¼ inch balls.
Mix ¼ cup sugar + cinnamon.
Roll balls into cinnamon sugar mixture.
Place 2 inches apart on baking sheet.
Bake 8–10 minutes until set.
Remove from cookie sheet.
Cool on wire rack.
