Yes I’m back with another installment of TikTok Made Me Try It.
But, you might know by now that I can’t just try something exactly as written. The longer I look at a recipe, the more I start thinking, “But what if I just…” or “What if I use this instead…”
And that’s exactly how these Chicken Caesar Cutlets were born.
What hooked me when I first saw the idea was using homemade Caesar dressing as the dredge before breading the chicken. And let me tell you, it works. The dressing traps all that garlicky, lemony, Parmesan goodness against the chicken as it cooks, leaving you with a juicy cutlet wrapped in a crispy, ridiculously flavorful coating.
I made another pretty significant change: I cooked mine in the air fryer. I just can’t bring myself to fry anything in a pot of oil when the air fryer can give me that crispy coating without all the mess.

Chicken Caesar Cutlets
Ingredients
- 1 lb Chicken breasts/cutlets
- Salt and pepper to taste
Caesar dressing
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 4 garlic cloves minced
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese finely grated
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
For breading
- 2 cups plain breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese finely grated
- 1 tsp black pepper
Let’s Cook!
- If you aren't using cutlets, carefully slice the chicken breast to form thin cutlets
- Whisk together the dressing ingredients in a bowl
- On a shallow plate, mix the breadcrumbs, Parmesan, and pepper
- Dip each slice of chicken into the dressing, coating well
- Coat with a thin layer of the breadcrumbs mixture
- Cook for 380 degrees in an air fryer for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown (flipping halfway through)
Notes From My Kitchen
- If you’re planning on using the cutlets in a salad, reserve 1/4 cup of the dressing to drizzle over the top
- These can also be baked in a 400 degree oven for 25 minutes (or until the temperature reaches 165 degrees)
As I was putting the final touches on the salad I was making for dinner, hubs walked through the kitchen, snagged a piece of chicken and announced that it was amazing.
That’s about the highest level of praise I can ask for.
So yes, these Chicken Caesar Cutlets will absolutely be on repeat in my kitchen in all kinds of ways.
Eat well friends!
